1/25/08:WizWheelz New Sub $1000 Has Arrived.
The TerraTrike Path Is In Stock And Shipping Now!

WizWheelz, Inc., maker of the TerraTrike brand of recumbent trikes, has just begun shipping their latest creation. The TerraTrike Path is a three speed version of their popular TerraTrike Cruiser. The new model features the same smooth steering, comfortable seat, and disc brakes of its predecessor, not to mention an eye-opening $999 price tag. The word out of the TerraTrike factory is that it looks fantastic, assembles easily, and rides like a dream. The crew is pumped up about this new trike as they work overtime to ship all of the backorders.

Wayne Oom of WizWheelz says, “Interest is high and pre-orders have been very strong. The Path is the most anticipated new model in our 11 year history. This product will draw many fresh faces to the triking scene.”

With a three speed internal rear hub, the Path is perfect for cruising along the bike paths in comfort and style and allows the rider to shift while coasting, stopped, or while soft-pedaling.

It features the same lightweight Chromoly frame, smooth linkage steering, and comfort level for which the Cruiser is renowned. A three speed internal rear hub is perfect for cruising on the bike paths in comfort and style and allows the rider to shift while coasting, stopped, or while soft-pedaling.

11/21/07: WizWheelz Inks Deal With South America
WizWheelz expanded into South America today and is proud to announce that A. Jarrin is the exclusive South American distributor of TerraTrike products. A. Jarrin is based in Ecuador. Here are some great shots of The Queen of Quito Ecuador, Valentina Mera, enjoying the TerraTrike. She is also pictured with the mayor of Quito and finally with Mr. Jarrin. The Queen declared that the TerraTrike was "the sensation of the event". She also explained that it was her second time participating in this event and that it was "great to see the city from a different perspective”.

8/27/07: Stock Update
TerraTrike Tours are back in stock. We are still catching up on a huge list of backorders so if you place an order today you can expect it to take a couple of weeks before we're able to build it up and ship it. Cruisers were in stock briefly this month but they quickly sold out again due to the long backorder list and an amazing surge of orders. We will have another batch of Cruisers ready in the second half of September. Thank you all for your patience. Our TerraTrike Tour model has completely sold out. Our remarkable growth this year took us by surprise. The good news is that we have expedited the batch that was originally planned for October. Now we expect to have Tours back in stock in mid August. We're taking reservations for that batch now.

7/6/07: Cruisers Sold Out! Zoomers are HOT!
This year's record sales have surged beyond our most aggressive predictions. Our stockpile of Cruisers, which was massive just four months ago, completely sold out today. Our next production run was originally scheduled to be ready in October but we've had to push it forward. Now we are on course to have Cruisers back in stock by the second week in August. 4/27/07: Car-Free Challenge
WizWheelz is sponsoring the Bentrider Online Car-Free Challenge. Join us in the challenge to do without your car for one month! The rules of the Car-Free Challenge are fairly simple. You go without your car as much as humanly possible from May 15th to June 15th. Once the month is up, you write up your experiences in essay form and e-mail them to bryan@bentrideronline.com. They will judge the essays and pick a winner on July 1st. That lucky winner gets a brand new 2007 WizWheelz Cruiser! 4/10/07: Zoomers In Stock!
The much anticipated TerraTrike Zoomers are finally in stock! We have all of the parts we need and we're scrambling to assemble and ship all of the backorders this week and next. We will ship on a first-in first-out basis so if you have a Zoomer on order, you should expect to see a shipping confirmation soon. We also have the new and improved seat bags (with the reflective strip) in stock now as well as our optional locking brake levers and the trike transporter hitch racks.

3/23/07: New Developments in the Works
The Head Rest and the Composite Seat are now in the prototyping stage. The Head Rest for supporting the rider's neck and head will be compatible with the standard slung mesh seat that fits all of our trikes and will of course be very adjustable. The Composite Seat is being designed to fit the Edge trikes and if successful, will be made to fit all of our trike models. We do not yet have an availability date or price for these products.

3/23/07: New Products Added
The Trike Transporter Hitch Rack is now on the accessory page and both sizes are available for order. The Aluminum Edge page is online and this model is available now with our standard seat. The composite seat is still being developed. Our co-founder Jack Wiswell has designed all of our trikes and the blue aluminum Edge with the standard slung mesh seat is his favorite trike he's ever designed, ridden, or even looked at. The colored anodized aluminum in the sunlight is a thing of beauty.

Also new to the accessory page is the Trike Assembly Stand which is compatible with many trike brands, and a floor pump. If you haven't been to our accessory page recently, you won't believe how many cool trike-related items there are.

2/9/07: IPS price reduced
We have reduced our price by $100 on the IPS (Independent Pedalling System) for the Tandem Trike. We cut our costs and we're passing the savings on to you. Now, for just $399 you and your partner can pedal separately. This gadget could quite possibly save your marriage.

1/10/07: Trike Hitch Rack
WizWheelz has developed the premier tadpole trike vehicle hitch rack. It is elegantly simple yet versatile enough to work with most tadpole trikes on the market. It may even work with delta style trikes but we have not yet had an opportunity to test them. We sold out of our first batch before we could even post these photos on the web site. We offer a single trike rack for $249.95 and an add-on unit for $200. The add-on unit will transform your single rack into a double. We currently make these for a 2 inch receiver. We are working on a single rack for a 1 1/4 inch receiver. The 1 1/4 inch rack will not have an add-on unit.

WizWheelz is thanking all of its dealers and customers for making 2006 the best TerraTriking year in history. The new TerraTrike Cruiser hit the scene in May and was easily the best selling TerraTrike ever produced. It was such a success at the introductory price of $1299 that WizWheelz has decided to keep the same low price in effect for 2007. The Tour, Edge, and the Tandem also had a very strong showing this year. 2007 looks even more exciting for WizWheelz with the arrival of the exciting Power Cruiser, a human-electric hybrid, in January and the much-talked-about Zoomer aluminum trike in March. 11/2/06: IPS System Now Offered on New Tandems
An independent pedaling system now comes as an option on new TerraTrike Tandems. It is a $499 upgrade that allows each rider to pedal independently. With this setup, you don't need to have perfect coordination with your partner to have a smooth ride. And if you want to stop pedaling and make your partner do all the work, this is definitely the system for you!

10/9/06: An Exciting Time for WizWheelz
Our dealers were filled with excitement as we introduced our new products for 2007 at the Interbike show in Las Vegas recently. We have been so busy lately that we haven't had a chance to update the web site but we'll be chipping away at it over the next couple of weeks. Soon you'll see our new products that are coming in 2007 which include the electric Power Cruiser, the Bionx electric powered retrofit kit, the Zoomer, the hitch rack, the trike work stand, the women's specific component package, and more! 10/9/06: Weight Limit Change
After completing some cycle testing and load testing on our redesigned aluminum frame (Race, Sport, and Access models) we have raised our load limit from 200 to 250 lbs so if you are in that weight range you can now get into an aluminum TerraTrike with linkage steering.

8/22/06: Come See the New WizWheelz Headquarters
We are up and running in our new space now and it is an awesome improvement! Come visit us and take one of our demo trikes down the bike trail.

8/16/06: Moving Day

7/18/06: Update on the Big Move
We're still in Hastings and are looking at making the move to Kentwood in early August. It is taking longer than expected to prepare the new building to our liking but once it is finished it is going to be an awesome spot for us. We are getting more and more excited as we watch the contractors get it ready for us. We are bursting at the seams of our small Hastings factory and CAN'T WAIT to get moved in to the larger space. 7/17/06: Lawson to visit in August
David Lawson, our 9th original trike customer from way back in 1997, is making his third pilgrimage from Santa Barbara, CA to visit us the first week of August. David has purchased several trikes from us over the years and has long since been our number one TerraTrike evangelist. His timing is perfect as he should arrive just in to see the new factory. Don't tell him but we're so busy right now that we'll probably put him right to work.

7/4/06: Trikes in Stock!!
We now have all trike models in stock! Also, Pete Hall has joined our staff as an assembler and is helping us get caught up with the build queue. Our turnaround time on a new order is pretty quick now so jump on board with us and you'll soon be enjoying the comfort of triking!

6/27/06: We Are Moving!!
This is a groundbreaking day in the history of WizWheelz. We have outgrown our space in Hastings and will be moving into a beautiful 4000+ square foot retail showroom and warehouse space in Kentwood Michigan (just South of Grand Rapids). We have been searching for a year and a half and have finally found the perfect home for our business right next to a beautiful bike path that will soon be connected to hundreds of miles of West Michigan paved trails. We're sad to leave Hastings which was home for our first ten years in business but there couldn't be a more fitting spot to grow our business over the next ten years or more. The move will take place in late July. The Grand Opening date is yet to be determined. We can't wait to invite everybody in. We will do our best to stay open and keep operating as usual every single day during the transition. We'll try to keep you updated on our progress and whereabouts right here on this page.

5/22/06: More Cruiser Love
We just had to share this great letter from Christian Appold of Bay City, MI

It hasn't been a full 48hrs since I left your shop with my Cruiser and I've already put about 50 miles on it. It is a joy to ride. I have had more than a dozen people ask to try it and where it came from. I've met more of my neighbors in the past two evenings than I had met in the 18 months that I've owned my home. I had a guy offer me $2,000 for it and a lady sit at a green light to wait for me to pass her so she could take a picture with her cell phone. I know that you are busy, but I find that too often in business we only hear about the customer with the problem. Your service was top notch, the price was the best on the market, and the trike is more than I could have asked for. Thanks again for making me part of the WizWheelz family.

A heavy number of sales ran us out of wheels for this product but we're expecting a new supply to arrive on 5/19 and then we'll work hard to quickly get caught up on Tour builds. 5/11/06: Cruiser Love
The first group of TerraTrike Cruisers are out there and getting rave reviews. The only trouble we've had was from two customers who ran out of chain length when they tried to "cross-chain" their trike(big chainring and big cog - this is bad technique). We are adding an extra link of chain to each trike now which solves this issue.

Besides that minor hiccup, the Cruiser has been wonderful and the "love" is flowing in from customers and dealers alike such as this comment from Jim at Bike Center in St. Louis:

"Your new TerraTrike Cruiser was the easiest trike we've ever assembled. It's worth more than $1299 - you should be charging $1599 for it. Send me four more."

With so many repeat orders rolling in from our dealer base, we're starting to wonder if our supply will hold out until our next batch arrives in late June. If you're considering a Cruiser, now is a good time to stake your claim.

5/5/06: Cruisers In Stock!!
The TerraTrike Cruisers have arrived! They look great, assemble easily, and ride like a dream. We are pumped! We shipped out 67 Cruisers on the first day and we're hammering to get through all of the full builds as quickly as we can. Look for yours to arrive soon! Also, the Tour frames are in stock now so we're working those orders into the queue as well.

5/1/06: Cruiser Update
Good News! The TerraTrike Cruisers are ahead of schedule by a few days. All of the parts should be in our hands in a week to ten days and shipments will commence immediately following! We expect it to take us less than two weeks to complete all of the 100+ Cruiser orders that we currently have in the queue. You will receive an email confirmation with your tracking number when your Cruiser ships. Enjoy!

4/25/06: Brief Delay for the TerraTrike Tour
Those of you with a Tour on order who were expecting our standard one-week-or-less turnaround will have to wait a little longer. We had a rash of orders over the past week which ran us out of this product. We should be resupplied with medium Tours during the week of May 8th. Short and Long Tours may take a couple days longer. We apologize for the delay.

4/14/06: Cruiser Update
WOW! We just received all of the parts to put together the final production sample of the Cruiser and we are completely floored by it. This product is dialed in tight!! The fit and attention to detail are well beyond our original expectations for this offering - we've just realized that we underpriced it but, hey, it's too late now and we're happy to be able to offer our customers such a nice value. When you get your Cruiser you'll notice many fine touches that don't show up on the web site. It compares favorably to trikes twice its price. At the introductory price of $1299, this is truly a steal. The guys in the shop are as proud of this model as they are of anything we've ever built and we can't wait to unleash it. It just can't get here soon enough - we're counting the days.

Speaking of which, everything is in route to our shop now which means we can just about pinpoint the day we start building and shipping Cruisers to customers - finally! We're predicting May 16th as the day we begin shipments. The customers who have been waiting the longest will get their trikes first.(BTW: a special thank you goes out to all of our customer who have been waiting so patiently through these delays - a few of you upgraded to a Tour due to the delay but as far as I know, not one customer flat out cancelled their order - we appreciate that loyalty). We'll be working non-stop to fill all of our pre-orders on this product(today we're at 95 and counting) so please understand that it may take a couple weeks to get through the list.

Attn: Dealers. You are going to LOVE this trike. The dealer kits come in nice neat packages, the trikes fit together beautifully, and the build time is an easy 30-60 minutes depending upon your experience. Most of the assembly is done for you. You really ARE going to love this trike - we can't wait to show it off!

4/11/06: New Bottle Cages
We have just added side-entry bottle cages to our growing menu of trike accessories. These cages make the water bottle easier to access while riding a trike and can also be mounted behind the seat using one our our bottle cage mounting brackets. Soon to come.....TerraTrike logo water bottles.

3/24/06: New Accessories
This year we have more than doubled our list of accessories! In fact, 22 new items have been added to the accessory page in 2006 and most are retrofittable to older TerraTrike versions. Recent additions include locking brake levers, clipless pedals, power grip pedals, a hubmout upgrade kit, lube, polish, helmets, bottle cage brackets, and a compass/bell. And there are more exciting products soon to arrive including a kit for attaching the BIONX power assist to every trike we make. The BIONX kit will be an AWESOME addition to any WizWheelz trike!! We can't wait to unleash it.

3/23/06: Cruiser Update
The first Cruiser shipment has been delayed by forces beyond our control but we finally have a firm ship date from our welder now and we should see the Cruisers arrive in our shop about a week or two into May. When they arrive we will be working around the clock to get all of the orders built and shipped as soon as we possibly can. We have a huge number of these trikes pre-ordered so it may take us a week or so to turn them around. Therefore if you're ordering a Cruiser now, you can expect us to ship sometime in mid to late May. We appreciate your patience; it will be rewarded when you discover what a sweet trike this is at such an amazing price.

2/1/06: It's getting hot in here
By a wide margin, WizWheelz has just posted a record sales month for January. Usually the fire doesn't get stoked up until March but it's heating up early in TerraTrike land this year. The phone is already ringing off the hook and we're preparing for a very exciting year. We have an expanded trike lineup, which spans a wide price band from $1299 to $4499, and nearly double the number of accessories offered with more yet to come!

1/19/06: On the drawing board
A new product is coming soon. Until now, we have kept this one top secret. It is an Edge trike with anodized aluminum tubes in place of the carbon fiber. We are producing a limited run of these trikes with Green, Gold, and Blue anodized tubes. We have not yet decided if this will be a limited edition or a permanent offering. When Jack saw the first one built up(blue) he immediately pronounced it the coolest looking trike we've ever built! Then he said "That first blue one is all mine!" The bead blasting and colored anodizing processes produce a textured, sparkling finish that has an eye-catching luminescence, which is difficult to capture in a photograph. Here is a sneak peek at the green version but unfortunately the picture doesn't do it justice. This finish dazzles the eye when you see it for yourself! The price will be $400 less than the carbon fiber Edge.

10/5/05: WizWheelz Makes a Big Splash at the Interbike Show
WizWheelz displayed its 2006 lineup of trikes at the Interbike show in Las Vegas in late September. Dealers sought out our booth as word quickly spread around the show that something unbelievable was coming in February. The new TerraTrike Cruiser and TerraTrike Access were unveiled to dealers only and were said to have "created the biggest stir in the recumbent world at Interbike". Details will be released on our website in December.
